I have always dreamed of living here. Just before moving to England’s capital, I lived in New York and Paris. I kind of consider London to be a little bit of a bridge between them.
London Life
I live in London. Although it may not seem like it because I am always traveling. But indeed, it’s true! I need to spend more time getting to know my new city. I have discovered a few new favourite restaurants such as Sushi Samba on the 38th floor of a building off Liverpool Street. The sea bass there is amazing! And the view….well you will just have to see it for yourself. If you go you need to make a reservation weeks in advance! I know the best thrift shops are in Shoreditch, which also has awesome graffiti, and that the Columbian Flower Market is the a must do on your free Sunday afternoon. Oh and that everyone has to have lunch at Nandos’s and breakfast at the breakfast club at least once, but the breakfast club has a huge queue on the weekends so be prepared to wait! As soon as I sort out my Youtube channel I will share some more content exploring the city! I have always dreamed of living here. Just before moving to England’s capital, I lived in New York and Paris. I kind of consider London to be a little bit of a bridge between them.
Who Is Paelo Saddler?
How long have you been doing photography?“Taking photos at all, over ten years now; I got my first camera when I was 18 (a cheap little Fuji compact for about £100). After a couple upgrades over two or three years I began photographing events, usually through word mouth. I’ve been photographing weddings since 2010, shortly after getting my first DSLR camera. As for solo shoots, that started in about 2012; mostly with me roping in mostly female friends on the mild bribery of lunch afterwards!”Where do you gain your inspiration from for shoots and concepts?“Cliché as it sounds, I really love how light fills any desirable space. Usually, I gain inspiration from a location. I find a space that strikes me; the architecture, the layout, the way the light enters and fills the area, and I fill the space with a story. The spaces vary from modern, classical, minimalist, as long as it just hits me with what I like to think of as an almost cinematic potential, then it’s on my radar. I put someone in it, then I capture what I would imagine to be key scenes of that story.”
What is your goal with photography?
“To grow. For the mean time, I’m happy with photography as an incredible hobby and an alternative income. But I’d certainly like to expand professionally. I’ve always loved landscape photography, and I’ll always enjoy weddings, but recently, in the past couple of years, I’ve found a particular interest in interior architecture and lifestyle/fashion photography. Weddings are a staple I enjoy and wish to do more of, architecture and fashion are areas I have a fresh appetite for and would love to expand into.In terms of portfolio, I’ll be (and currently am in the process of) creating at least one other website, for portraiture and lifestyle, and will create at least one other social media account to segment my photography into more specific, dedicated areas”
