OWN BY FEMME x FRO GIRL GINNY x JEKKAH
How did we meet?
We immediately fell in love with Jekkah because of it’s unique tailoring and beautiful prints. Me and Ginny both have a massive obsession with prints and bright colours so for us, the street wear was a match made in heaven. A few days after the event, we reached out to Petros and suggested a collaboration. He loved our ideas and invited us to come by the shop!
The shop is located in Camden Market and is pretty easy to find. It is listed on Google Maps so if you venture to the store, just type Jekkah into your maps and you will find it! It’s such a cute little shop. Very open and invited with bangin music! Me and Ginny we’re groovin and shakin the whole time.
The Collaboration
Our idea for the shoot with Jekkah clothing was to highlight the uniqueness of the brand by really showcasing the various prints and designs that it offers. We picked a beautiful woodland outdoor area that Ginny had previously used to for a shoot. It was stunning out there. And with good ole British weather, we totally lucked out and were just bathing in the sun rays!
Photographer and Make Up Artist
Ginny and myself were the creative directors for the shoot but none of it would have been possible without the incredible talents of photographer Melissa Gibbs and make up artist Naomi Alabii. Definitely check out their websites and social media platforms to see more of their work! If you are London or UK based and need either services, I highly recommend them both.

PHOTO SHOOT
Ginny and I styled our own hair for the photo shoot, which is honestly pretty common even when I have done shoots where there is a hair stylist. Not many people in the hair industry have mastered the wash and go for natural hair! We started the process pretty early. There was diffusing and lots of fluffling involved. We wanted it to be BIG! Then we had our make up done by Naomi and began to shoot after Melissa arrived. We shot in three locations. One was by chance! Ginny was preparing for an event the following day and mid shoot needed to go pick up product. Where we picked up the packages from had this amazing blue wall and we had to run with it!
Here are a few of the images we produced for Jekkah!
