I joined the Caress team on a little adventure to Paris and Grasse where I pretty much lived out every woman's dream trip to France. I ate like a queen, I took to the cobble stoned roads like a modern day Indiana Jones, but you know, the female version, and I got lost in the intriguing world of fine fragrance. And trust me, there is no better place to explore the heart and soul of the fine fragrance industry than France.
Los Angeles has so many different neighbourhoods, all with their distinct characteristics and attractions. I absolutely fell in love with Santa Monica on my first visit to LA a few years ago. The beach views and chill vibes make it a perfect home away from home in this magical California hot spot.
I am going to be honest here. The music artist Kehlani really put Oakland, California on the map for me! Her interlude "Runnin" features the lyrics "something about my city, Oakland girls so damn hood but we're so damn pretty" and ever since the first listen, my lil curiosity for Oakland has grown and grown. I spent a few years living in New York and really got to meet so many West Coast natives, quite a few of which, were born and raised in Oakland and repped their city HARD.
As a frequent traveler I am always booking hotels for my journey's and sometimes due to the random life of a travel blogger, it's super last minute. So to save money on my last minute or peak season hotel reservations, I use Hotwire.com.
On my recent trip to Atlanta, I got the opportunity to join the lovely team from My Black is Beautiful at the Black Women's Expo. Of course I also had my partner in crime, Jessica from HeyGorJess.com, with me so you know we had the best time!
How many epic images of the iconic Golden Gate bridge did you see before you said to yourself, I need to visit San Francisco! There are so many of these shots but for good reason, its just as big, beautiful, and red in person as it is on those photos and the city is just as magical, vibrant, and tech savvy as your San Francisco friends claim it to be!
I recently visited Atlanta for a weekend with Jessica of Heygorjess.com, and we had an absolute blast! It's hard to tell if we were in town for work or for play because the trip was so much fun. To be fair, you could say it was a little of both.
I’ve been to Essence Festival once before and the experience was unforgettable. I met the handsome Michael Ealy in person, cried laughing to Kevin Hart live (literally, crying), and ate everything including shrimp poboys and chargrilled oysters, to my little heart's content.
