The Black Women’s Expo originated in Chicago and has now branched out to Atlanta and Washington, DC. It features a ton of brands for consumers to check out as well as workshops, guest speakers, and performances geared to inspire, educate, and connect African-American Women. Major sponsors include My Black is Beautiful and Walgreens!
Me and Jessica arrived around 2pm on Friday, day one of the expo. We were greeted by fresh, smiling faces and a small crowd of attendees, which we imagine many people were still at work and probably had plans to attend on either Saturday or Sunday.
Fewer people meant more freebies and chances to explore the expo without any lines. I got faux lashes done by KISS lashes brand and styled my hair using some lovely new Pantene products at the My Black is Beautiful booth. My black is beautiful had the DJ bumping, a bunch of hair stylists on hand to create cute new styles for expo guests, lots of products to give away and a fun photo booth for you to capture your favourite moments.
Make sure you catch the next Black Women’s Expo when it comes to a city near you!
