EXTREME BREAKOUT RECOVERY (INCLUDING REDUCING DARK SPOTS) WITH @FIRSTAIDBEAUTY’S NEW ULTRA REPAIR BARRIAIR CREAM!

WOW! So I went to Trinidad Carnival and when I tell you I had the BEST TIME OF MY LIFE!!! I am not exaggerating. It was incredible. All we did was celebrate and laugh and dance and be joyous and free. It was such a liberating experience BUT… my skin broke out worse than it had in ages! I hadn’t experience a breakout like this since my high school days honestly.

It was a mix of small bumps and then deep kind of cystic acne. It was a little painful but additionally, it also was hurting my confidence. SO I went deep into home remedies like using fresh raw Aloe Vera and aztec clay masks, which although I absolutely saw a difference in my skin, I still had the hyper pigmented dark spots to deal with.

The lovely team at First Aid Beauty sent me their new Ultra Repair BarriAir Cream which its main focus is to combat the negative effect the environment, our diets, etc. have on our skin. I learned how our skin has a barrier that protects it from germs, bacterias, pollutants, etc that can be affected by a few different variables which result in break outs and dry skin.

Here are some of the culprits:

✭Excessive Cleansing & Exfoliation
✭Pollution & Environmental Aggressors
✭Stress
✭Dehydration

✭Aggressive Products
✭Harsh Chemicals
✭Alcohol & Caffeine
✭Smoking

If you’re guilty of anyyyy of these, well you’re not alone! In an effort to combat my breakout I definitely was a little excessive in my skincare treatments. Additionally I am addicted to coffee, constantly in new environments exposed to different pollution and bacteria, definitely could improve my stress management and hunnty, I enjoy a margarita like the next gal! So I gave the Ultra Repair Barriair Cream a go along with some of First Aid Beauties products that combat hyper pigmentation.

Here’s the routine:

STEP ONE: CLEANSE WITH THE PURE SKIN FACE CLEANSER

This was such a light, non aggressive, non drying cleanser! Easy to rinse off and left my skin clean and bright.

STEP TWO: APPLY RESURFACING LIQUID (10% AHA)

This one tingles a bit and you need to avoid your eyes and lips BUT this is the secret to reducing the visibility of dark spots. It’s gentle enough for daily use but they do have a stronger one (link here if you want to check it out!) that you would use only a couple times a week before bed!

STEP THREE: MOISTURIZE SKIN WITH THE ULTRA REPAIR BARRIAIR CREAM

So this is First Aid Beauties new release! The cream has a light-as-air texture and is absorbed very well by the skin. I really appreciate how hydrated my skin felt after without any residue! It’s important to note this cream has no alcohol, artificial colorants, artificial fragrance, lanolin, mineral oil, parabens, petrolatum, phthalates, propylene glycol, sulfates, or talc!

Here are some of the key ingredients and their affect:

✭Ceramides: A lipid that naturally occurs in skin that helps strengthen the skin barrier and moisturize.
✭Linoleic Acid: A lipid that naturally occurs in skin that helps fortify and restore the skin barrier.
✭Triple Weight Hyaluronic Acid: Hyaluronic Acid, a powerful humectant in three molecular sizes, that
helps boost skin’s moisture content, plump and smooth skin on multiple levels.
✭Colloidal Oatmeal: Helps calm and soothe dry or distressed skin.

STEP FOUR: APPLY TRIPLE PROTECTION SKIN TINT

We should be wearing SPF every day, even in doors because sunlight through the windows still hits us. Additionally, if you’re ever going to do any skin care treatments that are focused on resurfacing the skin or stimulating cell turn over, then you need to be EXTRA diligent with applying SPF as your skin is hypersensitive and vulnerable to the impact of UV rays. This Skin Tint comes in various tones and works great alone or paired with your favourite concealers and will protect your skin from not only the UV rays but also pollution and free radicals.

So thats the 4 step process for really repairing your skin after a major break out especially if like me, you suffer from hyper pigmentation.
